Escanaba is a great place to live there is much to do there whether you like to hunt, fish or just enjoy the outdoors. In Escanaba there is the Lumber Jack show, the SKI-TERS water ski show and they have a Gas and Steam Engine village and U.P trappers Convention. As you know now they have a variety of things to do. One of their biggest attractions is ice fishing. Many people go to Little Bay De Noc to fish for the walleye and perch. This is a big tourist attraction for the city because they have mass amounts of people staying in the city during this time of year. It is also good business for the fishing charters as well. Many people also go up there to deer hunt as well.
But the weather can be unpredictable sometimes. On average the winter temperature is about 10 to 15 degrees. The record low was in 1982 and it got down to -28 degrees! In the spring and summer the average temperatures are around 70 to 75 degrees. The record high was in 1955 and it was 100 degrees! But weather like that is common in a lot of other places as well. Besides the weather being unpredictable there isn't a lot of people in the city, their population is about 12,016 so not to many people which is a good thing. On top of all this there is a lot to see in Escanaba, here is just a couple. You can the all the colors on the trees in the fall and you might even see a bear once in a while walking through the woods or maybe even through town! There are also state parks you can go stay at as well.Links: http://www.weather.com/weather/wxclimatology/monthly/graph/49829
